According to DECO PROteste, on Notícias ao Minuto, taxpayers who can request installment payments include all those who "do not have other debts to the Tax Authorities and have completed the submission of the IRS declaration on time, that is, by June 30. Taxpayers who submit the automatic IRS declaration are also included."
To be able to pay the IRS in installments without the need to present a guarantee, the amount of IRS debt cannot exceed 5 thousand euros. The request must be made by September 15 (15 days after the deadline for payment), DECO explains.
