Know how long a fixed-term contract can be valid for.

According to the Authority for Working Conditions (ACT), a fixed-term employment contract can have a maximum duration of two years, including all allowed renewals.

The answer was given in the MinutoACT, a publication released on the official ACT Instagram.

In an informative document, the entity clarifies that "the fixed-term contract can be renewed up to three times, with the sum of renewals not exceeding the duration of the initial contract period".

Furthermore, ACT emphasizes that if these rules are not followed, the contract will automatically be converted into a permanent contract.
